The wet spring has posed a challenge for Wisconsin farmers, with many of them delaying planting for several weeks. The unpredictable weather is one of the many reasons why farming can be a very difficult, stressful job. Bradley Uken of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau discusses what it’s like to be a farmer today. He also offers some practical ways people can show their support and appreciation for those who produce what we eat.
Middleton Group Bringing Hope to Haiti
As Haiti continues to be gripped by gang violence, corruption and extreme poverty, a faith-based organization in Middleton is working to bring hope to one Haitian community. Executive director Tia Bunz and operations director Swenson Blanchard of the Fond Blanc Foundation share how God is working through a school the group supports. They also discuss how you can help their efforts through their upcoming fundraiser, The Rally On the Runway, at Middleton’s Morey Field.
