For your Mother’s Day wall:
My mom has a real independent spirit which was broken when she had to have help to do laundry and taking the garbage out when she had a hip fracture from a fall as a cna and med tech. I was grateful to have the opportunity to give back to my mom who helped me start my faith journey and who had supported me when I was a single mom. Praise God the doctors said she healed like a twenty year old and learned that there were people even her own apartment building that were ready to help her. Happy Mother’s Day Julie Smith Hubbard!

Raising teenagers can be many things, but certainly not boring! Wisconsin native Amy Betters-Midvedt would know as she’s currently parenting her fifth teen. We talk with her about her new book, “You’ll Make It (And They Will Too) – Everything No One Talks About When You’re Parenting Teens.” She shares what she’s learned from her experiences, including how to respond when they rebel, communicate with them more effectively, and lean on God for support.
