Kindness is contagious – 3/6/24

The second Friday in March is Spread Goodness Day. It’s a holiday created to show love and kindness to those around us and be aware of what is already good and kind in our community!

Facts about Spread Goodness Day

Celebrated annually on the second Friday in March\

Started in Marquette, Michigan by a lady named Anna Dravland who wanted to “make the future so bright, we would all need shades”

This is the 7th annual Spread Goodness Day

Tony Evers has signed the proclamation for the first time this year in 2024 to make it an official STATE holiday. Evansville and Stoughton Mayors signed last year and again this year.

Acts of goodness include delivering (Fosdal’s) donuts to all the teachers in Evansville Friday morning, live music in Stoughton and Evansville, police officers and 5th graders bringing yellow flowers to residents at the nursing homes, baked goods being shared, businesses offering discounts, dogs wearing yellow bandanas

Evansville students and Stoughton students are all encouraged to wear yellow on Friday for Spread Goodness Day.

Feel free to wear yellow and spread goodness and kindness in your own special way on that day and every day.
