My son, Joshua, has autism with developmental delays and many medical conditions. He has had ongoing medical problems since he was little. He is 23 now, but mentally about 8. But recently his medical issues have really gotten bad. He had to have 5 abdominal surgeries, 4 of which were emergency surgeries. Now he struggles daily with pain, severe distention, and blockages. He is in and out of the hospital frequently where they have to put tubes down his nose to relive the distention and also he frequently gets pneumonia. The last pneumonia he was unconscious for two days and on a ventilator. He doesn’t sleep much, probably due to the pain. We have palliative care coming to our home on June 5th. Please pray for healing for Joshua and for the palliative care team to take him on and provide exceptional care for him.
He is such a wonderful young man and loves the Lord so much.

If you have kids who play summer sports, you know what it’s like running them to practices and games, spending money on uniforms and equipment, and maybe even witnessing other parents and coaches losing their cool on the sidelines. Tyler Turner of Athletes in Action Wisconsin talks about how parents can help instill godly values in their children – on and off the field.
