Hi everyone. I am asking prayer for my son, Caleb, who had an eye accident last Wednesday afternoon here at our house. He and his older brother were playing around with a wooden skewer and it accidentally got poked into Caleb's eye. My husband rushed him to the UW Hospital ER and within a few hours Caleb needed to have surgery on his eye. The surgeon said that if we hadn't gotten him sooner than we had then more damage would have been done to his eye. I am sad that Caleb has to miss his last week of 3rd grade, but am so thankful that God has been with us during this whole ordeal. We suffered an acute trauma and I am still trying to process everything that happened. We are praying for a full recovery and he will follow-up with the 2 surgeons on Friday afternoon. The surgeons are hopeful that Caleb's sight will go back to normal again. Thanks for your prayers!

If you have kids who play summer sports, you know what it’s like running them to practices and games, spending money on uniforms and equipment, and maybe even witnessing other parents and coaches losing their cool on the sidelines. Tyler Turner of Athletes in Action Wisconsin talks about how parents can help instill godly values in their children – on and off the field.
